				   Oliaf L. “Pod” Lorance, 93, Oblong, Illinois
				  passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong.  Born
				  in Crawford County, the Pierceburg / Greenbrier area on December 7, 1916,
				  she was the daughter of Harlin Edgar Hill and Leora Gertrude (Neeley) Hill.  She
				  was retired from L. S. Heath & Sons where she worked on the candy lines.  She
				  was a member of the Oblong Evangelical United Methodist Church.  Pod
				  enjoyed working in her yard, her flowers, watching hummingbirds and her
				  family.
				   
				     On February 18, 1932, she married Chloris M. “Buster” Lorance,
				  who preceded her in death on May 20, 2007.  Also preceding her in
				  death were her parents; three brothers, Ogal “Speck” Hill,
				  Oral “Joe” Hill and Roy “Jim” Hill; five sisters,
				  Ellen Ikemire, Velma “Tim” Persinger, Dorothy “Dot” Davis,
				  Mary Goff and Marie Woods; half brother Wilson Hill and two half sisters
				  Clede Mann & Maude McCrory.
				   
				     Pod is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry G. & Norma
				  Lorance; one daughter, Anita L. Catt; four grandchildren, Rick & Sue
				  Catt, Debbie & Billy Spivey, Lori & Tim Hetzler and Peggy & Brian
				  Weigele; nine great-grandchildren, Mandy Catt, Brad & Sara Heilwagen,
				  Lucas & Beth Catt, J. D. Hetzler, Brandon Catt, Nick Pressley, Christine
				  Spivey, Ross Hetzler and Bailey Spivey; three great-grandchildren, Daniel
				  Catt, Adam Heilwagen, and Hannah Catt; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Hill
				  and Lorraine Lorance and several nieces and nephews.
				   
				     Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.
