      					Illinois passed away at 4:08 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at Good
      					Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana. Born in Rockford, Illinois
      					on July 12, 1938, she was the daughter of Jerome Juell and Mildred
      					(Milburn) Juell. She was a school teacher at Ft. Leonard, Missouri
      					for 1 1/2 years and Oblong Elementary School for over 20 years. Mary
      					Jo grew up and attended Evansville schools, she was a gradute of Evansville
      					Bosse High School - Class of 1956; graduated from the University of
      					Evansville - Class of 1960. She moved to Oblong from Evansville, Indiana
      					in 1960. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where
      					she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ina Mary Circle at
      					the Church. She was also a member of the Oblong Antique Tractor & Engine
      					Club; PEO Chapter KS - Oblong, IL; Oblong 20th Century Club; AOTT
      					Sorority and was a volunteer at Crawford Memorial Hospital.  On June 3, 1962, she married George N. Whiston Jr., who survives. Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Bryon & Connie Whiston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeri & Cris Harris and Jo Lynn & Terrence McCrossan; six grandchildren, Jeron & Jordon Harris, John & Katie Whiston and Branon & Marin Juell McCrossan; and one sister and brother-in-law, Lynn & Mike Averill. She is preceded in death by her parents and one infant son George Whiston III. Burial will be at a later date in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.  |
