		Velma M. Aten, 92, Oblong, Illinois, died Wednesday February
	            				16, 2005 in the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford
						Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Velma was born on April 17, 1912
						in Martin
	            				Twp., Crawford County, Illinois and was the daughter
						of Cecil & Junia
	            				May (Davis) Kirts. On September 1, 1933 Velma
						married Eulan C. Aten and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1999.
						Velma
	            				was a homemaker. She was a member of the Seed
						Chapel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of Seed Chapel
	            				Church. Velma enjoyed embroidering, flower gardening
						and canning.
	            
		Velma is survived by one son and daughter-in-law David & Diana
	            		Aten; two daughters and sons-in-law Shirley & Jess Newbold
	            		and Jo & Les Carter; one son-in-law Gary Fasig; nine grandchildren;
	            		sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four
	            		sisters and brothers-in-law Thelma & Chloris Ikemire, Evelyn
	            		Lee, Mary & Gene Harris, Wanda Angerer and several nieces
	            		and nephews.
	            
		Velma was preceded by her parents, husband, one daughter:
	            				Dee Fasig, one daughter-in-law: Dee Aten, one
						son-in-law: Don	Weger; one grandson: Rodney Waldrop and two brothers: David & Russell
	            				Kirts.
	            
            		  Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
