Neva Jewell McGee, 88, Oblong, Illinois died Monday June 21, 2004 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Neva was born at Rose Hill, Illinois in Jasper County on August 23, 1915 and was the daughter of George and Emma (Boldrey) Holmes. On April 29, 1936 Neva married Fred Mann "Toad" McGee, and his preceded her in death on June 24, 2003. Neva worked at the Newbold Hardware Store in Oblong, Illinois for seventeen years then at Gallo's Red & White in Robinson, Illinois for thirteen years, retiring in 1977. Neva was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Oblong, Illinois.

Neva is survived by two brothers & sister-in-law: Harold Holmes and Wendell & Carol Holmes; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband and two brothers: Lester & Robert Holmes preceded her in death.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
