Mary E. Perkins, 73, Oblong, Illinois, died Wednesday March 24, 2004 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Mary was born August 28, 1930 in Crawford County, Illinois and was the daughter of John Crum and Nellie (Reynolds) Crum. On March 8, 1947 she married Clarence "Cy" Perkins who died September 2, 1996. Married was employed at Marathon Oil Company from 1957 - 1980 in the cafeteria and from 1980 till her retirement in 1986 as a Security Officer at the front gate. Mary was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Oblong, Robinson Elks Lodge #1188, Robinson Moose Lodge #1369 and the Oblong Gem Club. Her hobbies included painting with watercolors, sewing and reading.

Mary is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws Toni K. & George Fitz and Karen S. & Gerold Jacobs; three sisters Caroline Bailey, Cora E. Sechrest and Lila O. Zaleswki; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary's parents, husband, five sisters -Edith Tedford, Florence Harris, Ethel Seaney, Bertha Crum and an infant sister Angeline and two brothers - Arthur & John Francis "Frank" Crum
preceded her in death.

Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
