Mary A. "Maw Maw" Walters 93, Oblong, Illinois died Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. Mary was born on Decemeber 29, 1909 in Matthew, Indiana and was the daughter of Fredrick & Mabel (Craw) Michael. In 1927, Mary and Kenneth H. Walters were married and he preceded her in death May 1970. Mary was a member of the Prairie Methodist Church rural Oblong, Illinois, the Granny Bowling League, Robinson and Wives of Marathon Employees. Her hobbies included: bowling, crocheting, crossword puzzles and babysitting for her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by one son Max Walters; one daughter and son-in-law Joan & Bob Hill; seven granddaughters Sara & Bo Brotherton, Mindy & Stanley Miller, Debbie & Steve Smith, Diana Gillespie, Doris & Mark Dremstedt, Donna & Keith Dayton and Darla & Glen Kuh; one sister and brother-in-law June & Kenneth Hall; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one great-grandson and four brothers Charlie, Vaughn, Marion & Bernard Michael.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
