M. Ruth Sloan 91, Oblong, IL. died Saturday June 28, 2003 in the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL. Ruth was born on October 21, 1911 in Perry County, Indiana and was the daughter of Will Park and Lyte (Parr) Park. On July 9, 1932, she married Charles J. Sloan who died November 3, 1993. Ruth was a Homemaker, member of Central United Methodist Church Oblong of which she was active in for many years. Ruth was an avid doll collector and her collection totaled 3,000 dolls.

Surviving Ruth is three sons and daughters-in-laws William S. "Bill" & Shirley Holloway, Norman & Mildred Sloan and Harold & Carolyn Sloan; 8 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ruth in death were her parents, husband, 1 great grandson, 1 great granddaughter and 3 brothers.

Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
