Lois Shew 73, Rural Willow Hill, Illinois died Friday November 28, 2003 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois following an apparent heart attack. Lois was born on November 29, 1929 in Crawford County, Illinois and was the daughter of Ivan and Ruby (York) Sholders. On December 15, 1947, she married Clarence Shew and he survives. Lois was a farm wife and homemaker; she was a member of the First Christian Church of Oblong, Illinois. Lois's favorite things to do were cooking, being with her grandchildren and her family.

Surviving Lois is her husband Clarence; one son and daughter-in-law: Dale & Sherri Shew; two daughters and sons-in-law: Betty & Gale Lockhart and Donna & Garry Ruddell; nine grandchildren: Brady, Justin & Dawn Lockhart, Jason & Brittney Ruddell, Whitley & Katie Shew, Tonya Midgett & Kelly Shew; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Garold & Marilyn Sholders, Harold & Jane Sholders and Terry Sholders; one sister and brother-in-law: Janet & Finley Provines and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Lois in death were her father: Ivan Sholders; twin sons: Dwight & Dewayne Shew and one granddaughter: Crystal Shew.

Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Rural Jasper County.
